Prior to equilibration with the Tris-based equilibration buffer (pH ~6.7), the mix is ideal for extraction of proteins and lipids for RNA purification. Following equilibration with the Tris-based equilibration buffer (pH ~8.0), is ideal for extraction of proteins and lipids for DNA purification.
