Croton oil

Croton oil acts as a stimulant in the skin and mucosal inflammation. It is associated with allergic contact dermatitis (ACD) and skin carcinoma. Croton oil functions as a skin peeling agent., Croton oil is a toxic viscous liquid extracted from seeds of Croton tiglium. It is pale yellow to brown in color and is transparent in nature. Croton oil has a strong irritant property and is used along with phenol in some chemical peels. It also has a tumor promoting ability.
