Descrição detalhada : Choline chloride (ChCl) is a quaternary ammonium salt. The unusual solvent properties of eutectic mixtures of urea and choline chloride make it useful as a biodegradable ambient-temperature solvent for a number of applications; such as a reaction medium for the synthesis of coordination polymer: Zn(O3PCH2CO2)].NH4. Ethylene glycol/choline chloride and urea based eutectic solvents can be used for the electrodeposition of Zn, Sn and Zn/Sn alloys. Choline chloride.xZnCl2 participates as a catalyst during the reaction between benzaldehyde and neopentyl glycol.
