Descrição detalhada : INF2 (inverted formin 2) is a mouse formin that has been found to interact with actin through the C-terminus to the formin homology 2 domain. The WASP homology 2 motif activates another region that appropriates actin monomers. INF2 has a unique ability to speed up polymerization and depolymerization of actin filaments. Mutations in the N-terminal diaphanous inhibitory domain of INF2 have been proven to be a main cause of familial focal segmental glomerulosclerosis.
