Descrição detalhada : Phosphatidic acid (PA) is an anionic, membrane structural lipid. It is amphipathic in nature containing a polar head group and two long hydrophobic acyl chains. PA acts as a parent compound for more complex membrane phospholipids. 16:0-18:2 PA or 1-palmitoyl-2-linoleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphate is a sodium salt of phosphatidic acid, with substitution of palmitic acid and linolenic acid at the sn-1 and sn-2 positions respectively, in the glycerol backbone.
