Descrição detalhada : CB1 is a protein that is one of two cannabinoid receptors (CB1 CB2). Cannabinoid principally delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and its synthetic analogs, are the active psychoactive compounds present is marijuana. These cannabinoid receptors are members of the guanine-nucleotide-binding protein (G-protein) coupled receptors which inhibit adenylate cyclase activity in a dose-dependent, stereoselective and pertussis toxin-sensitive manner. The two receptors have been found to be involved in the cannabinoid-induced CNS effects (including alterations in mood and cognition) experienced by users of marijuana. Three splice variants have been found for this gene. CB1 is primarily located in brain, and CB2 is found macrophages.
