Descrição detalhada : The TRK-fused gene protein (TFG) gene is highly conserved among mammalian species, and is widely studied as a fusion gene partnering with various oncogenes. The function of the resultant TFG protein product is still unclear. TFG regulates the activity of phosphotyrosine-specific phosphatase-1 (SHP-1), and may be important in cells containing SHP-1 such as epithelial and neuronal cells. Defective TFG contributes to thyroid papillary carcinoma.
