Descrição detalhada : Trypsin-3 is also called Brain trypsinogen, Mesotrypsinogen, Serine protease 3, Serine protease 4, Trypsin III, and Trypsin IV and belongs to the peptidase S1 family. Trypsin-3 is a digestive protease that specifically degrades trypsin inhibitors and may be involved in the processing of defensins, including DEFA5, in the ileum. Trypsin-3 is expressed in pancreas, brain and in Paneth cells, at the base of small intestinal crypts.
