Descrição detalhada : Asparagine biosynthesis is catalyzed by glutamine-dependent asparagine synthetase in mammalian tissues. Elevated levels of free asparagine is observed in plants facing stress in the form of drought or high salt. It is also present in senescing leaves and germinating seeds.
