ALDH gene is expressed in the nucleus, cytosol, mitochondria and endoplasmic reticulum of the cell. ALDH is a component of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NADH) and nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADPH) recycling systems.
