Descrição detalhada : Polyprenols or poly-isoprene-ols are primary monohydric alcohols containing 5 to 25 isoprene units in its carbon skeleton, with a hydroxyl group placed at the end. They are found in limited quantities in several plant tissues. Dolichol is an ?-saturated polyisoprenoid alcohol with 13-21 isoprene units. Dolichol found in yeast and fungi, facilitate the synthesis of mannoproteins.
