Paraffins are the materials generally used to embed the specimens for histological applications. In order to achieve uniformous ribbon-sectioning quality, defined hardness and homogeneity of the processed material is necessary. This can be guarranteed through high-quality raw materials and defined melting points. The melting point of Paraffin is 56-58C.
