PDGF is mapped to human chromosome 7p22.3 and is expressed in smooth muscle cells, endothelial cells and macrophages. PDGF exists as hetero and homodimers : PDGF-AB FDGF-AA, PDGF-BB, PDGF-CC and PDGF-DD.
