Descrição detalhada : Methylene blue is bis(dimethylamino)phenothiazine hydrochloride (tetramethylthionine),C16H18N3SCl. It is a major basic histological dye in pharmacology and microbiology. This heterocyclic aromatic chemical appears as a dark green solid powder, changing to blue in an aqueous solution. Methylene blue is tested for histological and and bacteriological staining, and as a constituent of Wright’s blood stain.
