In Type 1 diabetes patients, beta-cell mass and function are diminished, leading to insufficient insulin secretion and hyperglycemia. The ability to directly ascertain pancreatic beta cell mass would provide important information on disease status and progression.BioTracker Red PiF Pancreatic Beta Cell Live Cell Dye is a multimodal pancreatic beta cell probe PiF for both fluorescence and for (positron emission tomography) applications.
