The headgroup of this bilayer-forming lipid carries a positively and negatively charged quaternary amine and a phosphate respectively. 08:0 PC (1,2-dioctanoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine) is a saturated synthetic short-chain phospholipid., The list of Phosphatidylcholine products offered by Avanti is designed to provide compounds having a variety of physical properties.
