Descrição detalhada : 1-2 Test(R) is a rapid qualitative method for the detection of motile Salmonella based on the observation of Salmonella immobilized in a motility medium by polyvalent H (flagellar) antibodies. As an AOAC Official Method of Analysis, the 1-2 Test(R) is one of the simplest rapid methods available for the detection of Salmonella.The assay incorporates immunodiffusion technology to provide accurate and rapid results following a simple 1- or 2-step enrichment protocol. Salmonella, if present, move through the motility media as Salmonella-specific antibodies diffuse into the media from the opposite direction. The antibodies bind to the target Salmonella antigen to form a visually apparent immune band indicating a positive test result.
