It is one of the main active constituents of tea tree oil (TTO). The antioxidant activity of tea tree essential oil is attributed to the presence of ?-Terpinene at a concentration of 5-13%. ?-Terpinenes can also be utilized as flavor enhancing agents in food industries and fragrances in cosmetics, and in household products, including detergents, soaps, air fresheners, and insect repellents.
