Ace 2 is a human homolog of angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) and is found mainly on endothelium. In humans, Ace2 is exclusively expressed in heart, kidney, and testis. The protein is characterized with an N-terminal PD and a C-terminal collectrin-like domain (CLD).
