(TGF-?) receptors. ACVR1 is a single-pass type I membrane protein with a ligand-binding extracellular domain, a transmembrane domain, and a cytoplasmic domain. ACVR1 gene is expressed abundantly in endothelial cells, parenchymal cells, fibroblasts, and tumor-derived epithelial cells. This gene is located on human chromosome 2q24.1.
