Descrição detalhada : Adrenergic receptors (ARs) belong to the 7-transmembrane domain G protein-coupled receptor superfamily that binds to the endogenous catecholamines, epinephrine and norepinephrine. alpha2AR subtypes block adenylyl cyclase, suppress voltage-sensitive Ca2+ channels, and stimulate receptor dependent K+ channels. All of the alpha2AR subtypes inhibit adenylyl cyclase through coupling to members of the Gi/Go class of G proteins. They are an important component of the neural circuitry and modulate cardiovascular physiology. The physiological function of the alpha2ARs in the kidney is to regulate Na+/H+ exchange.Anti-alpha2A adrenergic receptor detects rat and mouse alpha2A adrenergic receptors by immunoblotting and immunohistochemistry. In immunoblotting, the antibody detects an approx. 45kDa band representing alpha2A receptors in tissues expressing this receptor subtype, although some non-specific bands have also been observed in certain cases.
