Descrição detalhada : ARID1B (AT rich interactive domain 1B), also known as BAF250B, p250R and hOsa2, is a nuclear protein and a member of the SWI/SNF-A chromatin-remodeling complex. It is involved in repression of select genes by chromatin remodeling and transcriptional activation. It non-specifically binds DNA and alters DNA nucleosome topology. The cause of mental retardation autosomal dominant type 12 (MRD12) are defects in ARID1B. High levels of ARID1B can be found in heart, skeletal muscle and kidney.
