Descrição detalhada : Forkhead Box P1 (FoxP1) is a member of the FOX family of transcription factors. This protein is known to forms homodimers and heterodimers with family members FoxP2 and FoxP4. The forkhead box family has a broad range of functions. These proteins play important roles in immune response, organ development and the development of cancer. The FoxP1 protein is widely expressed and contains both forkhead (winged-helix) and C2H2 zinc finger nucleic acid-binding motifs. At least four different isoforms that result from alternative splicing of the mRNA transcript have been reported.
