Descrição detalhada : Immunoglobulin A (IgA) is the most abundant antibody isotype produced in humans. IgAs are heterogeneous and exist as two IgA subtypes. It has the ability to form multimers by interacting with the joining (J) chain. It is present in large quantities in blood. IgA antibodies protect mucosal surfaces against invading pathogens., Specificity of the Alkaline Phosphatase Conjugated Anti-Human IgA is determined by Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). Identity and purity of the antibody is established by immunoelectrophoresis (IEP) prior to conjugation. Electrophoresis of the antibody preparation followed by diffusion versus anti-goat IgG and anti-goat whole serum results in single arcs of precipitation.
