Descrição detalhada : MgcRacGAP/CYK4 is a cytoskeletal interacting protein that participates in cellular functions from cell division and differentiation to ion transport, spermatogenesis and protein transport. MgcRacGAP/CYK4 is a component of the multi-protein complex called the centralspindlin complex that is key to cytokinesis function. MgcRacGAP/CYK4 developmentally is key for embryogenesis, adipocyte and myoblast development. It is also key in male germ development. MgcRacGAP/CYK4 associates with various proteins including alpha, beta and gamma tubulin, RACGAP1, and KIF23. MgcRacGAP/CYK4 can be localized in the nucleus but also in the cytoplasm where it is associated with the cytoskeletal spindle and microtubules. MgcRacGAP/CYK4 is highly expressed in testis, thymus and placenta but also expressed in spleen and various lymphocytes and sperm.
