Mouse IgGs have four distinct isotypes, namely, IgG1, IgG2a, IgG2b, and IgG3. IgG1 regulates complement fixation in mice . Anti-Mouse IgG (Fab specific)-Alkaline Phosphatase antibody detects mouse IgG (whole molecule). When tested by ELISA, the product reacts with the Fab fragment of mouse IgG but does not recognize the Fc fragment of mouse IgG, human IgG, IgA, IgM or rat IgG.
