Descrição detalhada : Nuclear SET domain-containing protein 2 (NSD2) is also called Histone-lysine N-methyltransferase NSD2, Multiple myeloma SET domain-containing protein (MMSET), Protein trithorax-5 and Wolf-Hirschhorn syndrome candidate 1 protein (WHSC1). NSD2 is a histone methyltransferase that acts on histone H3 'Lys-27' (H3K27me). Isoform RE-IIBP is thought to be a transcription regulator that uses HADC recruitment to binding DNA and suppress IL5 transcription. Chromosomal aberrations to WHSC1 are linked to multiple myeloma tumors.
