Descrição detalhada : Platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF) is a serum growth factor purified from human platelets. The members of PDGF are homodimers of A-, B-, C- and -D polypeptide chains and an AB heterodimer. PDGF is a mitogen and stimulates the proliferation of cells of connective tissue and glial cells, survival, differentiation, chemotaxis and wound healing. The cellular effects of PDGF isoforms are mediated by binding to ?- and ?-receptors which leads to activation of downstream signaling via PI3K, STAT and Ras/MAPK. Overexpression of PDGF isoforms has been observed in various malignancies including gliomas, osetosarcoma, chronic myelomonocytic leukemia and non-small-cell lung cancers Anti-Human Platelet-Derived Growth Factor (PDGF) specifically recognizes natural human PDGF. It will also neutralize the activity of recombinant human PDGF-AB, recombinant human PDGF-AA, recombinant human PDGF-BB, and natural porcine PDGF-BB. It shows cross reactivity with recombinant human PDGF-AB, recombinant human PDGF-AA, recombinant human PDGF-BB, and natural porcine PDGF-BB.
