IgG is a major class of immunoglobulin. Rat has five immunoglobulin classes- IgM, IgG, IgA, IgD and IgGE. IgG has four subclasses- IgG1, IgG2a, IgG2b and IgG2c., IgGs are glycoprotein antibodies that modulate several immune responses. Rat IgGs against target proteins are often used as primary antibodies in various research applications. Thus, secondary anti-rat IgGs conjugated to a detectable substrate are useful tools for the analysis of target proteins. Anti-Rat IgG (whole molecule)-Peroxidase antibody binds all rat Igs and does not react with human IgG.
