Descrição detalhada : Sterile alpha and Armadillo repeat protein (SARM), also known as Sterile alpha and TIR motif-containing protein 1 (SARM1) and Sterile alpha motif domain-containing protein 2 (SAMD2), is involved in the innate immnune response. SARM blocks TICAM1/TRIF-dependent transcription-factor activation and gene induction, without affecting the MYD88-dependent pathway or non-TLR signaling. SARM is expressed kidney and liver with lower levels found in placenta.
