Descrição detalhada : Src Homology region 2 domain Phosphatase 1 (SHP-1) is also known as Protein Tyrosine Phosphatase 1C (PTP1C), Protein Tyrosine Phosphatase non-receptor type 6 (PTPN6), and Hematopoietic Cell Phosphatase (HCPH). SHP-1 is a SH2 domain-containing cytosolic tyrosine phosphatase characterized by a catalytic phosphatase domain of approximately 240 amino acids that selectively dephosphorylates tyrosine residues in proteins; the SH2 domains are critical for SHP-1 to bind to ITIM domains in inhibitory immunoreceptors. SHP-1 is highly expressed in hematopoietic tissues and has a negative impact on lymphocyte signaling. SHP-1 is implicated in the control of tyrosine kinase signaling pathways in cellular proliferation, with a potential role in cancer.
