It has more stability than its parent atrazine and same endocrine disrupting toxicity.The parent compound atrazine is not approved for use in the European Union (EU) as per the legislation 2004/248/EC of 24th March 2004. But atrazine has a maximum residue limit (MRL) set in the range of 0.01-2 mg/kg for its presence in soybean, corn and wheat crops by the United States (US) and the European Union (EU).
