The carrier gas flows through the central aperture and is unrestricted throughout the length of the column., The chiral stationary phase in beta-DEX 120 columns contains permethylated beta-cyclodextrin embedded in an intermediate polarity stationary phase. They are recommended for the enantiomeric separation of a wide range of chiral compounds (ketones, esters, alkanes, alkenes, alcohols, acids, ethers, etc.). The 10% (beta-DEX 110) and 20% (beta-DEX 120) beta-cyclodextrin content alters the elution order while maintaining similar enantioselectivity.
