It also finds applications as a direct/indirect additive in adhesives, lubricants, food packaging materials, defoaming agents, as a preservative in cosmetic products, antioxidant in petroleum products including jet fuels, cutting oils, rubber latex gloves, paints, lacquers, adhesive hardeners, cleaning agents, thinners, plastics, etc. It is also widely used as an antioxidant in food industry.††
