Descrição detalhada : Method: titrimetric with dropping bottle MQuant(R), Carbonate hardness is a measure of the buffering capacity of water which can also be expressed as acid-binding capacity or total alkalinity. This MQuant(R) Carbonate Hardness test (formally MColortest(R)) is suitable for the titrimetric determination using a convenient dropping bottle. MethodHydrogen carbonate and carbonate ions are titrated with hydrochloric acid against a mixed indicator. At the titration end-point (at pH 4.3) the color changes to red. The carbonate hardness (acid capacity) is determined from the consumption of titration solution., The Carbonate Hardness Test determines carbonate hardness as a measure of the buffering capacity of water which can also be expressed as acid-binding capacity or total alkalinity.
