Although it is formed as a minor degradation product of cyprodinil in plants, it occurs as its major metabolite in animals. Therefore, the residue definition of cyprodinil for its risk assessment and monitoring in foods of animal origin is taken as its sum with CGA 304075 (free and conjugated form). Cyprodinil is approved for its use in the European Union (EU) but due to the lack of a feeding study for the analysis of metabolite CGA 304075, MRLs for cyprodinil in animal commodities have not been proposed yet. Cyprodinil has to be monitored in the Multiannual Control Programme for Pesticides Residues (MACP), run within the EU and EFTA in/on products of plant origin.
