Descrição detalhada : A cell-permeable and reversible cytotoxic agent that shows selective cytocidal activity against neoplastic cells and virally transformed cells. Selectively inhibits phosphatidylinositol-specific phospholipase C (PI-PLC, IC50 = 9.6 microM) but does not inhibit phosphatidylcholine-specific PLC or PLD. Inhibits protein kinase C from various leukemic cells. Also promotes rapid and selective apoptosis in human leukemic cells.
