Optimized funnel-to-base assembly and the drain support, ensure that the membrane remains flat after filtration of the sample. When transferred to a culture medium, the entire membrane is in contact with the culture media surface, there are no folds, so optimal microbial recovery is possible. The hydrophobic nature of the funnel material and its shape minimizes any sample residue collecting on the surface and thus the whole volume of the sample reaches the membrane.The EZ-Fit(R) blue units give you extra flexibility: after filtration, either transfer the membrane to an agar plate or add liquid media and convert the device into a Petri dish. This version comes with a filter plug for better efficiency
