Descrição detalhada : Glutaraldehyde is a fixative used in electron microscopy. It is a rapidly penetrating fixative and an alternative to the expensive and toxic buffered osmium tetroxide. Glutaraldehyde contains two aldehyde group separated by three methylene bridges. It mediates protein crosslinking at their amino groups.
