Descrição detalhada : Histones are highly basic chromatin proteins. They tightly organize eukaryotic DNA into nucleosomes. A nucleosome exists as an octameric core histone comprising a tetramer of histones H3 and H4 with two dimers of histones H2A and H2B, wherein the 147 DNA base pairs are wrapped around the histone complex.
