Ascorbic acid, also referred to as Vitamin C, is a water-soluble vitamin. Ascorbic acid carries a neutral charge, which gets converted to ascorbate by protonation. Vitamin C is a part of citrus fruits, such as broccoli, strawberries, turnip.
