These peptide hormones play very important roles in the regulation of gut motility and secretion, pancreatic islet hormone secretion, appetite, and energy expenditure. The MILLIPLEX(R) Canine Gut Hormone Panel is a 9-plex kit to be used for the simultaneous quantification of any or all of the following analytes in canine plasma, serum or tissue supernatants or tissue extraction samples: Amylin (total), Active Ghrelin, GIP, GLP-1, Glucagon, Insulin, Leptin, PP and PYY. This kit uses a 96-well format, contains a lyophilized standard cocktail, two internal assay quality controls and can measure up to 38 samples in duplicate. The Luminex(R) xMAP(R) platform uses a magnetic bead immunoassay format for ideal speed and sensitivity to quantitate multiple analytes simultaneously, dramatically improving productivity while conserving valuable sample volume.
