Descrição detalhada : The gene ICAM3 (intercellular adhesion molecule 3) encodes type I membrane glycoprotein that belongs to the immunoglobulin (ig) superfamily. The encoded protein is extensively glycosylated and contains five Ig-like domains that share high homology with corresponding domains in ICAM-1 and ICAM-2. ICAM3 is found to be expressed on all leukocytes, including the resting leukocytes. The gene is mapped to human chromosome 19p13.2.
