Any inhibitors capable of covalent, irreversible protein modification were avoided. This cocktail is EDTA-free. All inhibitors were selected to allow facile downstream sample processing, such as immobilized metal affinity chromatography (IMAC) for His-tagged protein purification and, uniquely, phosphopeptide enrichment.
