Neotame

It is manufactured from aspartame and 3,3-dimethylbutyraldehyde in a one-step chemical synthesis process., Neotame is chemically related to aspartame, an artificial sweetener, used in the production of sugar-free low-calorie foodstuffs. It is approved as a food additive depending upon the food or beverage application.
