Descrição detalhada : Ham's Nutrient Mixtures were mainly created to support the clonal growth of numerous clones of Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells and clones of HeLa and mouse L-cells. It is also used to grow primary rat hepatocytes and rat prostate epithelial cells. Ham's F-12 is used as the medium of choice for a clonal toxicity assay using CHO cells.
