Promotes assembly of microtubules and inhibits tubulin disassembly. An effective agent in blocking HeLa and B16 cells at the G2/M stage. Inhibits DNA synthesis and stimulates the release of tumor necrosis factor-alpha. Induces apoptosis in murine mammary carcinoma MCA-4 and ovarian carcinoma OCA-1 tumors., A semi-synthetic form of Paclitaxel (Cat. No. 580555) having no contamination by natural taxanes. Also has reduced levels of epimerization products as contaminants.
