Descrição detalhada : Prostaglandins (PGs) belong to the group of biological compounds called eicosanoids, which are oxygen derivatives formed during arachidonic acid metabolism. PGs are localized to every tissue and body fluids in the mammals. It was first discovered in the human prostate gland, and hence got its name, prostaglandins.
