Descrição detalhada : Plate Count Agar medium is suitable for the enumeration of the total viable count. The pH is in the optimum range of 6.8-7.2 for the growth of bacteria. The media is relatively rich in its nutrients and does not contain any inhibitors or indicators. The enzymatic digest of casein serves as a nitrogen source with high levels of free amino acids followed by yeast extract, which is a rich source of vitamins. Glucose serves as the carbon source for the efficient growth of bacteria.
