It is involved in the oxidation of glucose-6 phosphate and can be synthesized by phosphorylating riboflavin with phosphoryl chloride.Riboflavin-(dioxopyrimidine-13C4,15N2) 5?- phosphate is an isotope of riboflavin-5?-phosphate wherein all the carbon and nitrogen atoms of dioxopyrimidine ring are replaced by 13C6 and 15N7, respectively.
